Located between the Opera and Grand’Place, at 5 rue des Sept Agaches, Kokoa is a must for ice-creams in Lille. You can’t say you’ve been to Lille if you haven’t tasted one of their deliciously sweet ice creams. Although you’ll have to be patient in order to get what you want, as the place is often crowded, we guaranty it’s worth the wait ! Their ice creams are artisanal, with quite some choice, and you can even enjoy it on the terrace, or inside. The price is a bit higher, 2€50 for a scoop, but it’s not as generous as you’d like it to be.

If you can’t decide which one you’d like to try, just ask the waiters, they’ll happily give you some advice. If that program sounds like it’s for you, then just head to 84 rue Royale, you won’t regret it ! One of our favorites Lille bars !
We also recommend the Dandy during your french exchange , at 67 rue Basse, one of the coolest Lille bars in the old part of the town. They serve tasty, balanced, and original cocktails. You can either opt for a cucumber Mojito, or a classic Margarita, all at a cost of around 8€, which is very reasonnable for such quality drinks. And if you’re hungry too, order the « planche mixte », an assortment of cheese and meats, for only 8€. Plus, the waiters are very nice and you’ll be comfortably seated, as long as you come early enough to catch a seat !
Don’t look further : for the best mojitos in Lille, it’s right here, at 2 place Maurice Schumann, at Little Havana ! They offer a great variety of Mojito recipes, starting from 7€, which will make you discover, or rediscover, this classic summer cocktail. This place is very “made in Cuba”, whether it is with its decoration or the music, and you will certainly feel like you are there. If you don’t like Mojitos (we’re not judging), don’t worry, they also serve many classic cocktails to tastefully refresh you. A little piece of advice though, the place is quite small and very appreciated, so make a reservation to make sure you get a seat !
